City of Oakland, NE Planning Commission Meeting April 2nd , 2024, Proceedings A meeting of the Oakland Planning Commission was held on April 2nd, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. In the Rosen Room of the City Auditorium. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Todd Cull. Planning commissioners in attendance were Dan Tanksley III, Darla Nelson, Jordan Swenson, and Matt Johnson. Excused: Jacob Schieffer. A quorum was established. Also, in attendance were Zoning Administrator Kayla Eisenmenger, Property Owners Kent & Brenda Andersen, Oakland-Craig Public School FFA Teacher Kylie Penke, and O-C Student Brandy Helzer. 1) At 6:30 pm Darla Nelson made a motion to waive the three readings of the minutes of March 5th, 2024, minutes and to approve. Dan Tanksley III seconded the motion. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 2) At 6:32 pm Member Johnson made a motion to open the public hearing. A motion was seconded by Member Nelson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 6:34 pm Member Johnson made a motion to close the public hearing. Motion seconded by Member Tanksley III. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 6:43pm Member Nelson made a motion to approve Conditional Use Permit for SL2L1 13TH ADDITION, OAKLAND commonly known as 708 N Osborn Ave to have 7 foot fence. Motion was seconded by Member Swenson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 3) At 6:35 pm Member Tanksley III made a motion to open a public hearing for Conditional Use Permit for 8.66AC Tract Elementary School Addition, Oakland commonly known as 400 N. Brewster Ave. Motion was seconded by Member Swenson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 6:57pm Member Nelson made a motion to close the public hearing. Motion was seconded by Member Swenson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 6:58pm Member Johnson made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for 8.66AC Tract Elementary School Addition, Oakland commonly known as 400 N. Brewster Ave to allow the following of Section 5.05.03, #11, temporary livestock for use of FFA and Agriculture instruction. Motion was seconded by Member Tanksley III. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 4) meeting adjourned at 7:3 p.m. Motion was made by Member Tanksley III and seconded by Member Johnson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye.
