City of Oakland, NE Planning Commission Meeting May 7th , 2024, Proceedings A meeting of the Oakland Planning Commission was held on May 7th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. In the Rosen Room of the City Auditorium. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Todd Cull. Planning commissioners in attendance were Jacob Schieffer and Matt Johnson. Excused: Dan Tanksley III, Jordan Swenson, and Darla Nelson. A quorum was established. Also, in attendance were Zoning Administrator Kayla Eisenmenger, Property Owners Scott Gatewood. 1) At 6:33 pm Member Schieffer made a motion to waive the three readings of the minutes of April 2nd, 2024, minutes and to approve. Member Johnson seconded the motion. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 2) At 6:33 pm Chairperson Cull made a motion to open the public hearing. A motion was seconded by Member Johnson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. Public discussion on Conditional Use Permit for Lot 3 – 4 Block 4 Oakland Addition, commonly known as 404 N Davis Ave. At 6:37 pm Member Johnson made a motion to close the public hearing. Motion seconded by Member Schieffer. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 6:37 pm Member Johnson made a motion to approve Conditional Use Permit for Lot 3 – 4 Block 4 Oakland Addition, commonly known as 404 N Davis Ave for a ten (10) foot set back for front yard instead of the required 25 ft. Motion was seconded by Member Schieffer. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 3) Meeting adjourned at 6:39 p.m. Motion was made by Member Johnson and seconded by Member Schieffer.
