City of Oakland Council Proceedings SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2024 Budget Hearing On SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2024, the governing body met for a budget hearing of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Oakland, Nebraska, which was held at the Municipal Building, 401 North Oakland Avenue in Oakland, Nebraska. The public had been advised of the meeting by the publication of notice in Oakland Independent as well as three public places: City Auditorium, Post Office, and First NE Bank of Nebraska. Mayor Dan Jacobs started the meeting at 6:38p.m. with Roll Call. Council President Nathan Anderson, Council Member Jeremiah Johansen, and Council Member Scott Swenson. Excused/Absent: Council Member Denker-Rost. was all in attendance. All present Voting: Aye (Anderson, Johansen, Swenson ) - 3, Nay - 0. In attendance were Clerk Kayla Eisenmenger, Ortmeier CPA, Alyson Pedro and Oakland Independent: Curt Hineline. 1. At 6:40 pm Council Member Johansen made a motion to open the public hearing for citizens to discuss the proposed 2024 - 2025 budget. Motion was seconded by Council President Anderson. All present Voting: Aye (Swenson, Anderson, Johansen) - 3,Nay - 0. No citizens ( audience ) to make comments. Mayor asked if anyone there ( Mr./Pastor Hineline for Oakland Independent and Alyson Pedro with Ortmeier CPA ) had anything to add. No comments made. At 6:45pm Council Member Johansen made a motion to close the public hearing for citizens to discuss the proposed 2024-2025 budget. Motion was seconded by Council Member Swenson. All present Voting: Aye (Swenson, Anderson, Johansen) - 3,Nay - 0. 2. At 6:45 pm Council Member Johansen made a motion to open the budget hearing for Proposal Fiscal Year 2024-2025. Motion was seconded by Council President Anderson . All present Voting: Aye (Swenson, Anderson, Johansen) - 3,Nay - 0. More information on those discussions in the office. With no further discussions, questions or additions Could President Anderson made a motion to close the Budget Hearing for Proposal Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
