NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AN APPLICATION FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 12, 2025, in the Village Office, the Village of Decatur will hold a public hearing concerning an application to the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). This grant is available to local governments for community/ economic development activities. The Village of Decatur is requesting $53,000 of CDBG funds for Planning (PP) for conducting and adopting a downtown revitalization (DTR) planning grant. $50,000 will be used for developing and adopting a DTR plan and $3,000 will be used for grant administration. Additionally, the Village will provide match of no less than $5,000. The total project cost will be $58,000. The grant application will be available for public inspection at the Village Office. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application. Written and oral testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 4:30 pm, June 12, 2025, at the Village Office, 913 S. Broadway, Decatur, NE 68020.
