The Board of Education of the Lyons-Decatur School District No. 20 met in regular session on Monday, May 11, 2026, in the Media Center. Present were Archer, Bacon, Brehmer, Christiansen, Miller, Myers, Petersen, Troutman, and Vlach. President Lisa Christiansen opened the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Superintendent Report: An update was provided on the current days and hours that have been completed for the 2025-26 school year, we have met the requirements set forth by the NDE. We will be serving free breakfast and lunch to all students ages 1-18 who sign up in both Lyons and Decatur from June 1st – July 31st . FFA participants were honored and received certificates during the board meeting for their many accomplishments this year. A special thank you and congratulations was shared to all staff members and sponsors for their work throughout the year with the various student organizations and successes. Principal Report: Professional development the last month was spent on data, special education, and MTSS. Reports for FFA, STEM Research, and Quiz Bowl were shared with the board.
