The Board of Education of the Lyons-Decatur School District No. 20 met in a special session, the 2026-2027 tax request resolution hearing, on Monday, September 14, 2026, in the media center. Present were Archer, Bacon, Christiansen, Miller, Myers, Petersen, Troutman, and Vlach. Excused Absent was Brehmer. The open meetings act rules are posted on the wall of the media center. President Christiansen opened the duly publicized 2026-2027 tax request hearing at 7:33 p.m. The hearing was called for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions, or observations of taxpayers relating to setting the final tax request for the 2026-2027 school year.
