Oakland Heights Board of Directors July 2026 Monthly Meeting The Oakland Heights Board of Directors met in open and public session in the Oakland Heights Conference room. Advance notice of the meeting was made by posting in three places, one of the designated methods of giving notice. The meeting was called to order by President Judy Schernikau. At 8:30 am a quorum was established with the presence of Elisabeth Linder, Dee Peterson, Randy Johnson, and Dan Tanksley Jr. Also present were Administrator Tami Klinedinst and Director of Nursing Roxy Lundquist. Minutes of the June 17 meeting were approved as distributed. OLD BUSINESS Repairs and/or replacement of entry doors and frames is anticipated. Extra repairs related to this project will be done on a cost basis. Medical Records and tracking of records will be enhanced with the start of Point Click computer programming on August 1, 2026. NEW BUSINESS In the admission agreement of each resident, a statement is noted that Oakland Heights will NOT be responsible for lost or damaged property of each resident. Each incident will be reviewed by supervisors with information placed in a resident's file as needed. A Board discussion concerning power wheelchair use, in the Heights building, produced no decision except a request for further information. A Board discussion of Longevity pay as well as COLA pay is scheduled for the August 21 meeting. A motion was offered by Elisabeth Linder with a second from Randy Johnson to exit regular session and enter executive session. On roll call, all ayes, no nays; motion carried. Executive session began at 9:35 am. Personnel issues were presented during the session. Regular session resumed at 9:55 am. No decisions by the Board are needed for the personnel issues. Each incident will be investigated and addressed by supervisors and the Administrator. Oakland Heights remains a 5 STAR facility No positive COVID residents or staff during the first six months of 2026. Census: skilled facility averages 37 residents and assisted facility averages 19 residents QAPI Quality measures and processes are the main focus; hospitalizations and re-hospitalizations; UTl's; fit testing for masks; continuing education and staff solutions meetings when needed; PCC planning and implementation fast approaching; updating Performance Improvement Plan for proper start/stop dates. Employee Status NEED: RN, LPN, CNA Incident summaries were reviewed; financials distributed and warrants submitted for payment. A motion was offered by Judy Schernikau with a second from Elisabeth Linder to pay the warrants as submitted. On roll call, all ayes, no nays; motion carried. There being no further business to transact, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 am July 15, 2026.
