ELECTION NOTICE AND CANDIDATE FILING INSTRUCTIONS Notice is hereby given that the annual election of Director of Burt-Washington Drainage District will be held by sealed mail ballots, with the final date for balloting being April 14th, 2026 at 6:00 o’clock P.M. Ballots will be mailed by the Secretary of the District to each person entitled to vote, as shown by the March 1, 2026 records in the office of the County Assessor of Burt County, Nebraska, with instructions on how to vote and return the ballot by mail or in person to the Burt County Clerk, Courthouse, P.O. Box 87, Tekamah, Nebraska, 68061, on or before the above date and time. The Board of Directors divided the District into seven voting precincts and provided for the phasing in of precinct voting, so that the only precinct voting at this election is Precinct 4 for one Director for a full term of seven years. The full term expires for Precinct 4. All candidates who wish to be on the ballot must file for election. Filing forms are available at and filing shall be done in the office of the Burt County Clerk, at the Tekamah, Nebraska, Courthouse.
