City of Oakland, NE Planning Commission Meeting November 4th 2024, Proceedings The Planning Commission of the City of Oakland will hold a public hearing and meeting at 6:30 p.m. on November 4th, 2024 at the Municipal Building, 401 N. Oakland Avenue, Oakland, NE, to consider the following: Discussion of filling pre-application plans and data for Lechtenberg subdivision. Discussion of Storage Container requirements within the zoning to be supplemented. A meeting of the Oakland Planning Commission was held on November 4th, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. In the Rosen Room of the City Auditorium. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Todd Cull. Planning commissioners in attendance were Dan Tanksley III, Matt Johnson, Jordan Swenson and Jason Beckstrom. Excused: Darla Nelson. A quorum was established. Also, in attendance were Zoning Administrator Kayla Eisenmenger. 1) At 6:31 pm Member Beckstrom made a motion to waive the three readings of the minutes of September 3rd, 2024, minutes and to approve. Member Tanksley III seconded the motion. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 2) At 6:31 pm Chairperson Cull opened to public hearing of discussion of filling pre-application plans and data for Lechtenberg subdivision. Motion seconded by Member Beckstrom All planning commissioners present voted Aye. After discussion of what the Planning Commission would like to recommend to the City Council. At 6:59pm Member Tanksley III made a motion close the public hearing. Motion was seconded by Member Swenson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 6:59pm Member Beckstrom made a motion to recommend an adjustment to the blight and substandard zoning to the City Council. Motion was seconded by Member Tanksley III. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 3) At 7:02pm Member Beckstrom made a motion to open the public hearing for discussion of Storage Container requirements within the zoning to be supplemented. Motion was seconded by Member Tanksley III. All planning commissioners present voted Aye.Discussed that 1st to 5th street west side of Logan Ave to have changing of zoning. . Motion was made at 7:30pm by Member Swenson to close the public hearing. Motion was seconded by Member Tanksley III. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 7:33pm Member Tanksley III made a motion to recommend rezoning change for 1st to 5th street West side of Logan Ave to go from C3 to R2 and I1. Motion was seconded by ember Beckstrom. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. At 7:33pm Motion was made to table Ordinance 763 pending upon the pending changes of zoning from C3 to R2 and I1. Motion was seconded by Member Beckstrom. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 4) Meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m. Motion was made by Member Tanksley III and seconded by Member Beckstrom.
