City of Oakland Council Proceedings MARCH 17TH 2025 Regular Council Meeting On MARCH 17TH 2025, the governing body met for a Regular Meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Oakland, Nebraska, which was held at the Municipal Building, 401 North Oakland Avenue in Oakland, Nebraska. The public had been advised of the meeting by the publication of notice in Oakland Independent as well as three public places: City Auditorium, Post Office, and First NE Bank of Nebraska. Mayor Dan Jacobs started the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with Roll Call. Council President Nathan Anderson, Council Member Jeremiah Johansen, Council Member Scott Swenson. and Council Member Amy Denker-Rost were all in attendance. All present Voting: Aye (Anderson, Johansen, Denker-Rost, Swenson ) - 4, Nay - 0. In attendance were Clerk Kayla Eisenmenger. Citizens: Tiffany Lechtenberg, Nicholas Seery and JEO Consultant Ethan Joy. At 7:31pm Council President Anderson made a motion to approve all 2025 Pool Managers and Assistant Managers, and Lifeguards. Motion was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. All present Voting: Aye (Swenson, Denker-Rost, Anderson, Johansen) - 4, Nay - 0. 3. At 7:51pm Council President Anderson made a motion for the 10 % increase on the cost of the additional expansion of 8 feet. Motion was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. At 7:52pm Council President Anderson made motion to approve Group C Pay #3 for the Oakland Water Project in the amount of $12,672.93. Moiton was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. At 7:52pm Council President Anderson made motion to approve Group A & B Pay #5 for the Oakland Water Project in the amount of $518,560.35. Moiton was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. All present Voting: Aye (Swenson, Denker-Rost, Anderson, Johansen) - 4, Nay - 0. 6. At 8:13pm Council Member Johansen approved Landon Ehlers's Keno Request Monies for Eagle Scout within the Troll Stroll. In the amount of $430.00. Moiton was seconded Council President Anderson. At 8:15pm Council Member Johansen made a motion to waive the three readings of Ordinance 764 "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA, CONFIRMING THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY AND LOCATED AT LOT 14, BLOCK 5, CITY OF OAKLAND, BURT COUNTY, NEBRASKA. " Motion was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. All present Voting: Aye (Swenson, Denker-Rost, Anderson, Johansen) - 4, Nay - 0. At 8:15pm Council President Anderson made a motion to approve Ordinance 764 "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA, CONFIRMING THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY AND LOCATED AT LOT 14, BLOCK 5, CITY OF OAKLAND, BURT COUNTY, NEBRASKA.
