BID FOR REAL ESTATE A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA, DIRECTING THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY LOCATED AT THE WEST 90’ OF THE NORTH 1/2 OF LOT 9, BLOCK 6, CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA; THE EAST 42’ OF THE NORTH 1/2 OF LOT 9 AND THE SOUTH 1/2 OF LOT 9 AND NORTH 1/2 OF LOT 10, BLOCK 6, CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA; AND THE SOUTH 1/2 OF LOT 10 AND NORTH 1/2 OF LOT 11, BLOCK 6, CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA; PROVIDING THE MANNER, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH SALE. Any person desiring to submit a responsive bid, together with supporting documentation described in the below, shall do so, under seal, to the Office of the City Clerk, 401 N. Oakland Avenue, Oakland, Nebraska 68045, so it is received in the Clerk’s office no later than December 12th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Any bid received after such date and time shall not be considered. Any bid submitted in any other manner shall not be considered. Bids shall be opened and may be awarded at the regular meeting of the City Council on December 15th, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Section 4. Terms and conditions of sale are as follows: the City intends to sell each property to the most responsive bidder. Bidders shall include each of the following in any bid, to wit: a. the particular property (or properties) for which the bid is being submitted; b. a business plan; c. the bid amount; d. project completion date; and e. a detailed explanation of the bidder’s intended use of the property upon sale. It is the intention of the City Council that each property be sold for the purposes of developing and utilizing it to its maximum potential as soon as reasonably possible. The City will consider the above criteria when determining the most responsive bidder and awarding a bid. Each property is being sold “as is,” without warranty of any kind as to the condition of any improvements thereon, and subject to any and all restrictions and encumbrances of record and subject to compliance with any and all Nebraska laws governing the procedure of the sale of real property by a Nebraska municipality classified as a city of the second class. Conveyance shall be by corporation special warranty deed. The City will consider all reasonable bids, but reserves the right to reject any and all bids and reserves the right to request additional information and supporting documentation from any bidder prior to the award of any bid. Sale shall be confirmed by ordinance that will identify the purchaser and terms of sale. The City shall remain in possession of the real property until such confirmation and closing of sale.
