A Special Hearing was held on September 14, 2026 in the Board Meeting Room in the Elementary Building. Administrators present were Superintendent Jessica Bland, Elementary Principal Becky Rennerfeldt and Secondary Principal Travis Steinhoff. President Dockhorn called the hearing to order at 7:49 p.m. and noted the Open Meetings Law. Notice of this meeting was properly posted and/or published by advance Public Notice in accordance with Board Policy #2008 with notice and advance agenda given to the President of the Board and all members prior to the meeting date. ROLL CALL Roll Call was called with the following members present: Jon Dockhorn, Brett Johnson, Dane Johnson, Diane Pelan-Johnson, and Henry Unwin. PURPOSE OF THE HEARING The purpose of this hearing is to hear support, opposition, criticism, suggestions, and observations of taxpayers on the proposed 2026-2027 Property Tax request for the General Fund, the Building Fund and the Bond Fund. During this hearing the Board will receive public comment on the levy as it is considered for adoption by the Board of Education. Superintendent Bland reviewed the proposed 2026-2027 Tax Levies of the General Fund, Bond Fund and Building Fund. The combined levies result in a total levy of $0.854 compared to $0.856952 the previous year. President Dockhorn asked for further comments from the board and visitors present.
